Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya Strengthens CSR Commitment Through “Goes to Campus” Program

As a growing company, PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and community development through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

CSR represents a company’s responsibility and contribution toward social and environmental welfare. Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya applies this principle through programs that support education and industrial collaboration.

Recognizing the strong connection between the textile manufacturing sector and educational institution, the company launched the “Dai-Ichi Goes to Campus” program as part of its CSR efforts.

Collaboration with STTT Bandung: Building the Future of Indonesian Textiles

In 2014, Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Tekstil Bandung (STTT Bandung) was chosen as the official partner for Dai-Ichi’s CSR program. This collaboration aims to advance the Indonesian textile industry by bridging academia and manufacturing expertise.

The program’s theme, “Sharing & Grow Together in Textile Science,” reflects Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya’s vision to create a platform for knowledge sharing, skill development, and innovation in the textile sector.

The objectives of the program include:

  • Strengthening cooperation between textile manufacturing companies and academic institutions.
  • Enhancing student competence to support the advancement of Indonesia’s textile industry.
  • Providing a platform for knowledge exchange between academia and textile professionals.

Program Activities and Milestones

The Dai-Ichi Goes to Campus initiative consists of several interconnected activities:

  1. Donation of Textile Auxiliaries and Campus Visit
DKR provided laboratory support by donating textile auxiliaries for campus practical sessions and conducting a company visit to STTT Bandung.
  2. Textile Chemistry Seminar
The event was held on June 10, 2014, at the STTT Bandung. More than 330 participants, including STTT students, other textile college students, lecturers, and academic staff attended this event.
  3. Ongoing Collaboration
Future activities include internship programs at PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya and guest lectures on Textile Chemistry. The program is supported by the Department of Chemistry at STTT Bandung, PT Trisulatex, and the Student Association of Textile Chemistry.

Empowering the Next Generation of Textile Innovators

Through the “Dai-Ichi Goes to Campus”, DKR reaffirms its commitment to nurturing future textile professionals and promoting sustainable growth in Indonesia’s textile industry. By fostering collaboration between industry and education, DKR aims to drive innovation, knowledge, and progress for a stronger, globally competitive textile sector.
